Chime clocks are not, by far, a new kind of creation-though there are more sophisticated clocks categorized as chime clocks which have recently been created. With these chime clocks, you pull the chain so the hanging pieces (which suspend but they are not pendulums) end up at the top of the clock--directly under the clock. The chains are lowered gradually as the clock maintains the time and last for about twelve hours before they need winding again. Some have small pendulums which fall behind the chains--but most of them do not. Most chime clocks cannot be obtained in ordinary stores, but ought to be sought at specialty clock stores. Numerous chime clocks are wall pieces ranging widely in size and shape. The wood is stained sometimes--but chime clocks comes painted, also. There are various colors and patterns--some would go perfect in the kitchen area, a few in the den or living room, some in the study and chime clocks may also give a classy and somewhat elegant look to your workplace. Most chime clocks, however, are made of stained wood, a few arching at the top, others flat on both top and bottom having a subtle design on the sides.
